Armenia: Historical Sites (1/16) / Haghpat Monastery
In Lori region close to the Georgian border. Founded around 976. The legendary poet Sayat Nova is said to have stayed here. Unfortunately I came here on a lousy bus tour, but this was the most interesting monastery I visited.
